Maple Planked Brie with Anjou Pear and Black Sage Honey
Ingredients
1 medium brie cheese (single cream)
2/3 cup diced anjou pear
2/3 cup golden raisins
1/2 cup pine nuts
Black sage honey, or favorite
Olive oil
Sea salt
Smoked black pepper
1 French Baguette
Maple plank
Honey comb (if desired)
Method
1. Preheat grill to 450.
2. Place maple plank into water and soak 30 minutes to 1 hour
3. Drizzle olive oil on the brie cheese and rub over the rind.
4. Season with sea salt and smoked black pepper.
5. In a small bowl, lightly coat pear, raisins and pine nuts with olive oil.
6. Place cheese on plank. Place fruit mixture on the brie and drizzle with honey.
7. Place brie on grill with cover down until it warms through, approximately 20 minutes.
8. Serve brie with honey comb and toasted baguette.
